As we continued our tour through the ancient forest, we arrived at a place that didn’t look too impressive. Between the trees, we found an area that seemed to be where the trees dropped their leftovers.
Though New Zealand was first inhabited less than a 1000 years ago, its land goes back to prehistoric times. An unknown natural disaster caused havoc, and evidence to this was found by locals who dug around gum trees to find rubber.
This was interesting to learn, and the ducks seemed to agree.
As we walked out of the forest, who knows where they went to share the stories of lives past.
